The IT department has purchased a number of concurrent licenses of Adobe Master Collection CS5 to be installed on computers on the Trading Floor and the MPC. Adobe Creative Suite (CS) is a collection of graphic design, video editing, and web development applications. The collection consists of Adobe's programs (e.g., Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, InDesign). This move represents a major positive shift in UEL IT policy: Adobe programs are now treated as important core applications and the licensing fund will be shared amongst the Schools. In the past all Adobe applications costs came from within HSS, despite the fact that the MPC serves students from other Schools. The plan is to have the Adobe Master Collection CS5 installed in all MPC labs on all workstations, both PC and Mac for Semester A 2010.
